In a recent move, Islamabad and Beijing agreed to allow Pakistani students to return to Chinese colleges if the COVID-19 issue in China is resolved.

In a recent telephonic chat with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the return of Pakistani students to their colleges in China, according to the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing. 


According to Earth Situation  News can students return to China?


"The unique and extraordinary circumstance created by the COVID-19 epidemic has had an impact on students' educational activities throughout the world, including Pakistani students enrolled in Chinese colleges, many of whom are now in Pakistan," the embassy stated in a statement. 

According to the statement, the two sides worked out a plan to send the students back to China in stages as a result of combined efforts by the Pakistani and Chinese embassies, with the Chinese premier promising to maintain the situation on a high priority. 

Pakistan and China are also finalising plans for the repatriation of the first batch of students as soon as possible, according to the statement. 

  

The Pakistani Embassy in China further stated that it will pursue the case with Chinese officials in order to have the remaining students returned.
