Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, a Congress leader and Punjabi artist, was slain in a shooting incident in Mansa district on Sunday evening, according to police officials.


Two people were hurt in the event, according to available information published by Times Of India, in which more than 30 shots were fired.


In a serious condition, Moose Wala was transported to the civic hospital in Mansa, where he was pronounced dead.

"Three persons were taken to the hospital, one of whom, Sidhu Moosewala, was pronounced dead. "The two injured have been transferred to a higher institute for further treatment after receiving primary treatment," said Dr. Ranjeet Rai, civil surgeon at Mansa Hospital.

Punjab police withdrew security from 424 people on Saturday, including Moosewala, 28.


For the uninitiated Sidhu ran for the Mansa assembly constituency on a Congress ticket and lost by nearly 63,000 votes in the February 20 elections.
